For centuries, Jews had strictly observed the Sabbath on Saturday, a commandment enshrined in their laws and traditions (Exodus 20:8-11).
However, after Jesus' resurrection, thousands of Jewish believers suddenly shifted their worship to Sunday, the day Jesus rose from the dead (Acts 20:7; Revelation 1:10).
This was a radical departure from their deeply ingrained customs.
Furthermore, they ceased participating in the animal sacrifices that had defined Jewish worship for centuries, believing that Jesus’ death was the final atonement for sins (Hebrews 10:10-18).
The best explanation for such drastic religious shifts is that they genuinely believed Jesus had conquered death.
